此書書名下題:「都梁參學清庵瑩蟾子李道純註」。李道純為宋末元初的道士,字元素,號清庵,自號瑩蟾子,都梁人,為白玉蟾再傳弟子。事蹟見《揚州府志》、《鳳陽府志》。李道純註中頗可看出三教合一之主張,《清靜經》「上士無爭」下李道純註云:「遵儒書不爭之言,行釋經無爭之行,此一法出於無法,洞觀冥契,是名上士也。」李道純的三教合一主張,見於其弟子所編《清庵瑩蟾子.語錄》(《正統道藏·太玄部·卑字號》新文豐第40冊)。李氏並提出老^之道為「真常之道」,以此作為內丹理論的基礎。李氏「真常之道」,應是由《清靜經》:「真常應物,真常得性,常應常靜,常清靜矣。」有以啓之。
