Definition(s)
▣ The main name of the upper Cinnabar Field, located in the region of the brain. In Neidan, the upper Cinnabar Field is the residence of Spirit (shen) and is the focal point of the third stage of the practice, “refining the Spirit to return to Emptiness” (lianshen huanxu). With regard to the alchemical embryo, it is the place where it is “delivered” at the conclusion of the practice.
